TOC practitioners that want to embark on TOCICO Certification journey will follow the steps below:

Candidates register to sit for the Fundamentals Exam which is an entry requirement for any of the TOCICO Application Exams. The exam registration fee is $50 for Fundamentals Exam. Candidates do not have to be members of TOCICO to register. Academic status must be approved to receive the academic price for the fundamental exam. Those candidates that pass will receive a "TOCICO Certificate of Achievement". This is NOT a TOCICO certification, but recognition for passing the entry exam.

Those candidates that have passed the Fundamentals Exam, will be invited to register for writing the Applications Exam. The registration fee is $100. Academic status must be approved to receive the academic price for the fundamentals exam. On passing the Application Exam, one must sign the TOCICO Ethics Code and register online to become a member of TOCICO before receiving the TOCICO Certified Implementer Certificate and Certification. This achievement will be published on TOCICO website.

Those that pass one of the TOCICO Applications Exams, will be invited to submit a Case Study within 24 months of passing the exam. The registration fee is $150 for Case Study Submission. This case study must have been published in a peer reviewed journal to quality,. If their case study is approved, candidates will receive their TOCICO Certified Academic Certificate and Certification Status (which will be published on TOCICO website). To receive this certification, you must be a TOCICO member and an approved academic.

There is still a fast track option; submissions will only be excepted if candidate can provide evidence of their experience in leading and or participating in more than one TOC implementation. They can go directly to case study submission. The candidates track record will be carefully evaluated before invited to submit. The submission fee for Fast Track is $250. Academic status must be approved to receive this academic price.
